Interestingly, its also uncertain in Gideon the Ninth whether the connection between Gideon and Harrow is romantic. But I mean, there are so few female characters who are like Ianthe. Theres a plot reason for this move: Harrow has worked out that if she has no knowledge of Gideon, then she wont be able to fully absorb Gideons soul, and as a result Gideon wont be completely gone forever.
